White

Update time! I started my new job this week and have been FLAT OUT! I don't even know what day it is or how i'm even functioning but I thought i'd show you my new (now 1 week old) Hair do! If you follow me on Instagram you'll already be all over this, but i'm super pleased with it and its given me so much confidence to dress a little bit quirkier and has been encouraging me to take all the selfies!

Ta-Da!

I'm in LOVE! I'm so surprised that we got it that white since when i've tried bleaching my hair myself it always comes out Yellow. I had it done at Elevation in Glebe and they were fantastic! It's so cute and edgy and ugh! I literally just wake up and it looks fab. SO IMPRESSED!

Since it's white, and i'm pale, I was scared that i'd look washed out but i'm actually embracing my pale-ness and instead adding colour with bronzer countering and bold coloured lips. I'm feeling very 'London Hipster' right now and I couldn't be happier. Paired with my giant American Apparel haul from the other day and i'm just feeling like a damn sexy lady!

Hopefully i'll find time to film my haul tomorrow, but in the mean time, tell me what you think!

Until next time x.

Light em up up up

So for New years I styled this amazing party outfit shoot, down by the Harbour. Nothing is more spectacular as a backdrop then the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge at dusk!

My inspiration for this shoot was all things sparkly, from statement shoes and accessories to delicate gold trimmings. But the best accessory for hard partying or bringing in the new year? SPARKLERS!

Boys, Boys, Boys

I'm back with more craziness from my time with G! Here we have me in my natural habitat of 90's buns, chokers and my most favourite of fabrics, velvet and holographic whatsamacallit.

I bought this 'boys' tank from General Pants a while ago, it was one of those regretful impulse buys. As much as I love it, I've never found a single outfit to pair it with, so seeing as it was a silly dress up day I decided to rock it with my too-short-to-wear-outdoors velvet booty shorts and DIY silver Doc Martens for the ultimate Space Princess look.

I then proceeded to prance about like a loon and here you have these pictures. If theres one comment I can add in self approval it's 'DAMMNNNNNNN she got da booty'

You're welcome world.

Sunglasses: Paddy's market
Choker: DIY rainbow loom
Boys Tank: General Pants
Velvet shorts: Evil Twin
Silver Docs: DIY

I made this hair style cool before the Miley Cyrus drama.

Until next time x.

The Strokes

So I recently hung out at my friend G's house and we hung out taking photos in random outfits and lolling on her bed reading One Direction fan fiction all day. I also found out that day that I got the job I applied for at Windsor Smith (Happy Days!)

These are some of my favourite photos of me from that day, I fell in love with this tee! So much so I went out and bought it today!

I'm really enjoying having photos of myself that I can play around with and edit as I please, I was always so lazy with my photos, but now that I have a MAC it's so easy to edit and retouch that it would be wrong for me not to! I love the grunge-y feel of these photos, mainly helped by G's Al-foil wardrobe and band posters (She's so much cooler then me!)

Tell me what you think!

Until next time x.

Working Girl

The new year is a time for change and what better way to welcome yourself back to the work place then a brand spanking new wardrobe?! So this year ditch the boring monochrome working girl uniform and inject some life into the office with bright colours, bold prints and funky shapes.

Get to the point:

Asymmetrical shapes are all the rage this season, the sharp points and interesting lines are great for giving some edge to an other wise simple garment. Pair it with a bold colour top like this green collared top from August Street and colleagues will be clearing the hallways to escape your fierceness.

Abbey Wears:
Top and Skirt: August Street
Shoes: Betts shoes

Big, Bold and Beautiful:

Nothing is quite as attention grabbing as a beautifully bold print, but don’t think that you have to keep it restricted to your top half, match an amazing printed skirt with a blazer in a complimenting colour, and you will be wowing the office with your masterpiece style.

Abbey wears:
Top: Pink Stitch
Skort: Zara
Shoes: Kmart
Sarah wears:
Blazer: Forever New
Blouse: Target
Skirt: Pink Stitch
Shoes: Betts shoes

Playful Pastels:

Summer vacations might be coming to an end, but don't let that ruin your mood. Bring some summer lovin’ into your work wardrobe with beautiful pastels and summery colours. don’t be afraid to accessorise with some too-cute jewellery like we did with this daisy and leaf print necklace and  bring the outdoors into your office.

Abbey wears:
Blazer: Forever New
Blouse: Target
Skirt: August Street
Shoes: Betts
Necklace: Diva
Sarah wears:
Dress: Target
Shoes: Dotti
Jewellery: Diva

Pretty in Pink:

Bright fuchsia may be a daunting colour when it comes to acing it in the board room but it’s definitely a colour that packs some punch. If you’re too weary wearing top to toe loud colours, try introducing some pretty pink in the form of a nice blazer. Still to worried you’ll scare your work mates with such a fun colour? pair it with a comfy tee on casual friday, like we have with our Fashion institute girls, and ease everyone into this rad colour.

Abbey wears:
Necklace: Equip
Blazer: Target
Shorts: North the label
Shoes: Betts shoes
Sarah wears:
Skirt: North the label
Shoes: Kmart

Operation 'Stop being scared of the camera'

Ok so I noticed in 2013 that whilst I had the most amazing opportunities to work with some damn beautiful people, somehow, along the way I started to see less beauty in myself. Now, I know full well that i'm babin' but when I spent day after day with tall, gorgeous, size 8 models with luscious hair, I started thinking that compared to these stunners, I wasn't really worth photographing.

So fast forward to 2014 and i've decided to commit myself to change, starting by conquering my new found fear of being photographed, so that means more selfies, more group shots and ACTUAL OUTFIT PHOTOS! Back to the good ole days of when young me had no shame in taking a glorified selfie!

So to start my pledge I set up my camera and tripod and took completely useless photos in a completely random outfit and I pledge to thee that these pointless shots of self appreciation aren't ever going to stop. So join me in 2014 and celebrate some self loving, tell yourself you're beautiful and show it by posting up a selfie storm.

Until next time x.

Animal Attraction

I'M BACK!!!! I know I know i'm a horrid blogger! Since i've been lounging about my grandparents place for the last two weeks, i'm struggling coming back to Sydney and the real life. But first week home and i've already had a job interview and got a new kitten (Happy Days) and I have some sweet editorials to post (i'm just waiting on a few things) But it's only at 12:35 on a Thursday morning that i'm actually able to tear myself away from reblogging Harry Styles pictures to let you in on my current obsession!

LEOPARD PRINT!!!! I know, it's been done to death! But I personally haven't owned it since I had leopard print stockings back in 2010 so I think i'm willing to give it a proper fashionista try (and not whatever i was thinking back in my teen years)

oh the embarrassment! (Let's be real, i'd still wear them)

The reason for the outburst is due to my current addiction of looking up super cheap clothes on Aliexpress (SAAAHHHH CHHEAAAPPP!) You can buy some wicked winter coats for under $50 it's so cheap i'm wanting to buy, even though it's the middle of summer in OZ, so here is some lovely leopard inspiration to get you feeling warm and fuzzy (get it? ha)

My Wishlist!

This epic jacket is only $30 from Rosewholesale

And if I land the job i'll be buying these babies. I have so much denim to pair it with. Windsor Smith Slide

Besides buying overalls (finally!) Summer fashion has let me down this year, can't wait for winter to roll back around! I miss my printed leggings and boyfriend jeans!

Until next time X.
